Am I the only one who sees these people trying to turn highsec into a secure low/null sec?
"I want to be able to gank people without them being able to shoot me first, and then I want all consequences being taken away for making someone else's life miserable by a payoff..."
Are you that much of a coward?
I've been in low sec and null sec. I hate it because there was always roaming gangs trying to kill me, people out just to make me explode, and I barely could do anything on my own.
You people just want to gank without having the bawls to go where there is an actual risk of someone shooting back at you. They invented low sec for the player base wanting to PVP, and they invented high sec for people who want to just relax and play the game differently.
PLEASE STOP TRYING TO BE GUTLESS AND GO TO LOW SEC WHERE YOUR DESIRED PLAYSTYLE IS MEANT TO BE.
Freaking gutless cowards...

So, you want to make miners' lives harder, and your life easier? You suicide gank for a self-righteous cause, but you want to make it easier because you lose sec status when you do. Is it insurance fraud to break even with your insurance to fund your suicide ships?
Miners will over-saturate the markets. It won't be profitable for the mundane gameplay it is. The miners will switch professions and the market will clear itself.
After you start this feature to bring the amount of miners down, it will NOT be removed... so your plan may actually eventually make mining completely undesirable.

"We want a way to make suicide ganking possible without losing sec status"
That's what I read.
What you geniuses neglect to realize is that being able to buy sec status will go beyond suicide ganking. EVERYONE can get ganked after that. And when people say F-U to mining because everyone and their mom from low sec come out to play with new shiny sec status, the market will need to be seeded and miners will be ghost trade.
This feature will NOT be removed once your perceived problem goes away.

I guess the OP in all his wisdom never thought of simply making high sec rats more lethal

Originally by: Selrid Miamarr Titen, that's not what he means. Forgive me if I am reading this wrong, but he is arguing that mineral prices are too low, and this enables people to make and blow up ships for profit. His solution is to raise mineral prices by making mining in hi-sec a far more risky thing to do, by making it easier to repair bad sec status. This should increase suicide ganking enough to cause mineral prices to rise, and the side effect will be to make insurance fraud unprofitable again.
Only problem is that the OP and his blind lemming followers only see the suicide gank rise in terms of the miners and think "Fix'd!!". But people not so narrow minded will see it as suicide ganking EVERYTHING. Then, when they go "oh (*#$ I'm getting my ass handed to me by suicide gankers" will cry nerf to their own idea.
He's trying to find an excuse to promote his style of gameplay. Like my post above, the simpler and more intelligent way to fix things is not turn high sec into a coward's low sec... but simple INCREASE THE LETHALITY OF HIGH SEC RATS

I agree Selthar,
But it WOULD fix the too many miners problem without throwing a whole bunch of things out of wack. It would encourage team play with an escort of defensive group. It would eliminate the AFK miners. It would liven up the mining industry. It would make EvE feel like an MMO again.
